Nude Beaches in Greece

Are you going to Greece and looking for the list of places where you can sunbathing without any clothes on? If the answer is yes, this page may be interesting for you to read.

In Greece you can sunbathe topless on all of the beaches. There are also a number of official and less official beaches where you can freely take off all your clothes, enjoy the life and catch even suntan.

During our numerous visits to Greece we have came across a number of fine nude beaches and thought we will put down a shortlist. All of the beaches share the same similar elements i.e. beautiful summer weather, fine almost white sandy beach and clear turquoise sea.

For the exact location of each beach please refer to the map beside, for more information about described islands please follow the links.

The following assessment is based on our own experience and therefore description given in the article necessarily contains an element of subjective opinion which may not reflect your own experience on another occasion.

Selected Beaches

Antiparos Island - although Antiparos has a number of quiet places - the best nude beach lies in northern part of the island. From Antiparos town (place where the ferry arrives from Paros Island) go north towards the far end of the island. You can drive to the beach, however the road is not in very good condition. At the end of the road you will find a very nice sandy beach. Sand dunes, bushes and small trees provide a bit of shelter if you are looking for some quiet spot.  Other unofficial places are located along the eastern coast of the island. However, these are not a proper beaches like the one in north but rather small cosy bays hidden along the coast.

Kos Island - has one of the finest nude beach we have came across. It is located between small villages of Tigaki and Marmari. Crystal clear turquoise sea and wide, long sandy beach with sand dunes on the edges provides an excellent opportunity for unspoiled relaxation. Second beach is located in southern part of the island near Paradisco beach (please do not confuse it with popular Paradise beach located near Kefalos). In order to get to Paradisco beach you will have to hire a motorbike, a quad or a 4x4 car as the sandy, stony, uneven road is steep and regular car may have difficulties to get to the beach. Once you are on Paradisco beach you will have to walk south as far as you can passing by the rocks formation. At the end you will reach charming and very quiet sandy beach. As far as we are aware it is not an official naturist beach, however, it is quiet enough to take off all your clothes and have nice even suntan.

Paros Island - has only one small and quiet beach or at least one which we have managed to find. It is located at the end of small peninsula. To get there you will have to pass Kolympithres village and go to the end of the road. At the end you will see small scenic bay and a car park where you can leave your car. From the car park walk along the coast. After 15 minutes you should get to the beach.

Naxos Island - if you are looking for an unspoiled natural relaxation on Naxos you should visit Maragas beach - northern part of the beach between Maragas and Aghia Anna to be exact. At the end of the fine sandy beach you will find big rock formation and couple of sandy spots. This is the place where first fine beach is located. Second beach - Plaka - is located further south from Maragas. If you enjoy beach walking you may easily walk there (it may take you up to 20 minutes). If you drive you should pass Maragas and continue driving on unsurfaced road almost to the very end. Plaka is a very wide sandy beach - one of the most beautiful spots on the Cycladic islands.

Zante Island - the only beach we have found on Zante is located at the very far end of the long Laganas sandy beach - popular tourist village. From Laganas walk north east along the coast. After about 20 minutes you will approach very nice sheltered spot.
